Artist Statement
The unifying concept in all my work is the process of conflict
and resolution. Thematically, each piece is a portrayal of our
questions with respect to who is in control of our lives: a creator
- God - or ourselves.
Each canvas is textured by applying layers of paint, cracking
and scraping the surface and then repainting. This gives each
painting a stressed appearance.
Michael’s work is in collections around the world including Jakarta,
Indonesia, Shanghai, China and Los Angeles. |
